Endieveri, F, Week 2

Week Two of Entertainment, Media and Sports Marketing is over and we did a lot of great things this week that we wouldn't get to do in most other courses. This week we had a guest presenter, Paul B, from Corning Incorporated and we took a trip to Corning Museum of Glass to enjoy the museum as well as meet with Corning Museum of Glass marketer Robert C.

Paul B. is a member of Corning Inc's Intellectual Property counsel and came in to meet with us about what he does on Thursday May 3rd. He explained the different Copyright and Trademark laws and shared examples with us to help us in our studies.

The trip to the Corning Museum of Glass took place on Wednesday May 2nd. We got a tour of the different sections of the glass museum, Science, History, and Contemporary. After the tour my class sat down with the marketer of the museum who talked to us about how he markets the arts. One of the most interesting aspects from the presentation I found was the glass shows. He told us that they decided to take the glass blowing shows on the road when they became popular which became an effective way to market to people.
